There is a familiar cadence to the classic tech story in Hyderabad: the grind for engineering degrees, the five-day corporate hustle, and the comfort of predictable code. But for Vanitha Anchuri, a Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) graduate originally from Mancherial, the most fulfilling chapter of her professional life began only after she walked away from that exact script.
Today, she isn’t debugging software. Instead, she is carefully pouring layers of crystal-clear resin over bridal flowers, tiny baby shoes, and handwritten notes at Vyka Art Studio, her rapidly growing creative enterprise.
The Pivot: Choosing Family, Keeping the Spark Alive
Vanitha spent nearly five years navigating the fast-paced software industry before making a choice many working mothers face. She stepped down from her tech career to focus on raising her two sons and supporting her family.
But a career hiatus didn’t mean putting her identity on hold.
“However, my passion for creativity remained alive,” Vanitha recalls.
An avid lover of singing, arts, and crafts, she spent her years away from the office exploring different artistic mediums. That exploration eventually led her to the fluid, high-stakes world of resin and Lippan art—a discovery that bridged the gap between a passionate hobby and a serious entrepreneurial calling.
The Art of Memory Preservation
What sets Vyka Art Studio apart in Hyderabad’s bustling maker community isn’t just the aesthetic value of the art, but its deep emotional weight. Vanitha has turned her studio into a place where fleeting, sentimental human milestones are frozen in time.
Beyond these concepts, Vanitha customizes nameplates, corporate gifts, and mantra frames tailored explicitly to a client’s profession, hobbies, or unique personal journey. It’s a personalized approach that has caught the eye of the city’s design community, leading her work to adorn local homes, corporate offices, hotels, and restaurants. Her stall at the FICCI FLO Style Tatva exhibition quickly became one of the event’s standout attractions.
Restarting From Scratch
Transitioning from a structured corporate desk to managing raw materials, chemical curing times, client management, and marketing wasn’t easy.
“After spending several years focusing on my family, stepping back into the professional world required immense confidence and determination,” Vanitha shares. “I overcame those hurdles through continuous learning, constant practice, networking, and most importantly, believing in my passion.”
For Vanitha, balancing entrepreneurship with family life is a daily exercise in precise planning—a skill she arguably carried over from her engineering days. By mapping her studio hours meticulously around her children’s schedules and relying on a solid family support system, she has turned a solopreneur venture into a highly respected brand.
Looking Forward
Vanitha’s immediate goals are clear: she wants to scale Vyka Art Studio, expand her product lines, and eventually set up a flagship brick-and-mortar space in Hyderabad where creativity, customization, and craftsmanship can all sit under one roof.
In a fast-moving IT capital where life changes in a click, Vanitha Anchuri’s journey serves as a beautiful, steady reminder: it is never too late to reinvent yourself, change your medium, and build a life around the things that truly matter.
