Akkineni Ramesh Prasad is a businessman, film producer, chairman and Head of a chain of companies under the Prasad Group. He obtained his B.E.M.S Degree from the United States, and established Prasad Film Labs in Chennai in 1974. Today Prasad Studios is the largest chain of Indian film post production facilities, with a total of 12 delivery units. He has also served as the president of Film Federation of India during 1988-89.
