Abhinav Ram Reddy is a second-generation entrepreneur and executive director of GAR Corp, a Hyderabad-based commercial real estate company founded in 1982 by his father, Mr. Amarender Reddy.
Gar Corp is the most renowned Hyderabad-based office space operator and Abhinav’s mission is to consolidate and expand its real estate empire to retain their leadership in the industry.

Over the years, urban infrastructure has been the driving force and backbone of growth and development in India. Having been born and brought up in Hyderabad, Abhinav is deeply attached to the city. He completed his schooling at the famous Hyderabad Public School, and admits that although he was average in academia, he was an all-rounder and participated proactively in school programs. He was also chosen as the Head Boy of the School in 2006-07 for his competitive spirit and leadership skills. He continued his education with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Case Western Reserve University and is also an alumni of Harvard Business School.

Speaking of Hyderabad, Abhinav said, “I’ve traveled to a lot of cities around the world, but there’s no place like Hyderabad, simply because the city accepts all kinds of people, and the fact that anyone from anywhere can live here without barriers like language and resources makes it even more amazing.” He also talked about Hyderabad’s phenomenal growth over the last few years especially after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, and stated the fact that GAR Corp has added millions of square feet of commercial real estate space, resulting in the creation of tens of thousands of jobs.
Today, world-class facilities and support services are a necessity for the city rather than a wish, as Hyderabad is now one of the most preferred destinations in India for any MNC looking to set up their presence.
Soon after completing his education, Abhinav was determined to carry forward his father’s real-estate empire. Currently, he oversees a portfolio of 10 million square feet of office space that is wholly owned by the family business. He is also an investor, part of several SEBI registered venture capital funds, and has personally invested in around 25 startups with a focus on non-tech-specific, manufacturing and FMCG.

He says “I would prefer to invest my time and effort in the brick & mortar sectors rather than in technology, as technology trends keep changing from time to time and the market value is too dynamic.”
The latest office park of GAR Corp, Laxmi Infobahn, shows us a glimpse of the futuristic Hyderabad. Today, under the leadership of Abhinav, the GAR Corp is the largest single owner of office space in Hyderabad, that is creating & operating iconic office spaces that meet world-class standards. Abhinav believes that staying focused on the target plays a crucial role in the overall picture. His objectives and motivation behind any task are clearly set in advance, and he strives to make the most of his time. He says that his dynamic schedule doesn’t allow him to have a strict morning routine, and he says, “Rituals can keep changing based on the need, but one’s goal must remain constant.” He emphasizes mental health and says, “Mental fitness is just as important as physical fitness, and should not be neglected.” While exercise can improve one’s physical health, Abhinav’s main goal is to remain mentally focused as that is what drives and motivates him.
