Organized by Banyan Tree Events, Barkha Ritu is celebrating its 23rd year. The festival will showcase musicians performing specialized ragas traditionally reserved for the monsoon season, which are not typically performed during the rest of the year. These ragas are uniquely composed to evoke and mirror the emotions and sentiments associated with the rains, both for the performer and the listener, according to a press release.

Barkha Ritu is devoted solely to the presentation of these ragas, providing musicians with the opportunity to delve into the deeper aspects of these seasonal compositions. It also allows passionate audiences to immerse themselves in the enchanting music of the rains, during the monsoon season, the release noted.
