M. Raghunandan Rao, IAS

M. Raghunandan Rao is a 2002-batch IAS officer, now Secretary for Commercial Taxes & Excise and, since June 2026, Secretary for Mines & Geology and for Industries & Commerce.

As Secretary of the Agriculture and Cooperation Department he worked closely with state and national agencies on agricultural development and modernisation, and he led the e-Cabinet initiative to make state governance more efficient and digital.
